Y bueno, para los que esperan la siguiente version de Ubuntu (o sea la 9.10) llamada Karmic Koala, aqui esta el calendario de lanzamiento de dicha versión.

Disponible Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope

El dia de hoy por fin se libera la versión final de Ubuntu 9.04 llamada Jaunty Jackalope, ya previamente anunciada para su lanzamiento el dia de hoy, de acuerdo a calendario de lanzamiento.

Asi que a descargar se ha dicho, disponible en versiones Desktop, Server y Netbook Remix. Ya que si no quieres descargar, tambien puedes realizar el pedido de tus CD’s via Shipit (ya desde hace varios dias pudiste preordenar tus CD’s) aunque seguramente en estos momentos están totalmente saturados los servidores, y no queda otra que armarse de paciencia.

Bluetooth 3.0 a la vista, promete mucho más velocidad

El dia de hoy, fue presentado en Tokio, Japon la especificacion para la nueva versión de la tecnología Bluetooth, en este caso la 3.0, con la promesa principal de velocidad, mucho más velocidad, la cual rondará aproximadamente en 24 Mbps. Dentro de otras cosas, al igual se promete una reducción en el consumo de energía.

Ahora bien, esta ultima versión esta basada en las caracteristicas de la actual versión 2.1, por lo que los desarrolladores y consumidores se beneficiaran al haber una retrocompatibilidad con dispositivos que tengan dicha versión, pero para tener los beneficios reales, se deberá tener dispositivos compatibles con la versión 3.0, los cuales verán la luz hasta el 2010 (dentro de 9 a 12 meses para ser exactos).

Asi que por lo visto, mejor esperar a que salgan dichos dispositivos con Bluetooth 3.0 y por fin realizar transferencias de datos de corto alcance a altas velocidades. ¿O tu que opinas?
